Crispy, golden salmon patties ready in under 30 minutes! Perfectly seasoned, family-friendly, and versatile—serve them as burgers, with rice, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 ¾ oz) can of salmon, drained

  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion

  • ¼ cup cornmeal

  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 egg

  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise

  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

  • Optional: hot sauce, lemon wedges, fresh parsley for garnish

Directions

  • Prepare the salmon: Drain the can thoroughly. Remove any visible bones or skin if desired. Flake salmon with a fork in a mixing bowl.
  • Mix the patties: Add onion, cornmeal, flour, mayonnaise, and egg to the salmon. Mix until fully combined.
  • Form patties: Shape the mixture into small-to-medium patties, about burger-sized or slightly smaller.
  • Fry to golden perfection: Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry patties 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown, flipping once.
  • Drain & serve: Place patties on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve warm with lemon wedges, hot sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce.
