This super simple garlic butter shrimp is ready in just 15 minutes and packed with flavor. It’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner and pairs wonderfully with rice or crusty bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Directions

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer.
  • Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on one side until pink.
  • Flip the shrimp and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fully opaque and cooked through.
  • Stir in the lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  • Remove from heat immediately to prevent overcooking.
  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm.
